Starting January 1, 2024, individuals wishing to become or renew their commission as a Commissioned IL Traditional and Electronic Notary Public are required to successfully complete a training course offered exclusively by a state-approved provider. To attain approved course provider status, applicants must meet the most stringent requirements set by any state to date. The Notary Pros of IL, LLC is honored to be the first approved In-Person Notary Public Study Course Provider in the State of Illinois.

REQUIREMENTS
You Must...
- Be a US Citizen or non-citizen lawfully admitted for US permanent residence
- Be an Illinois resident or legal resident of a qualifying Bordering State
- Have and Provide a CURRENT Driver's License or Identification Card issued
by the State of Illinois or qualifying Bordering State (WI, IN, IA, KY, or MI)
- At least 18 years of age
- Be Proficient in the English language
- Not have been convicted of a felony
- Not have had a commission revoked or suspended during the last 10 years
- Successfully complete an APPROVED IL Notary Study Course
- Complete the Notary application after course completion
- Obtain a Notary Bond ($5K traditional, $30K Electronic and Remote) after course completion
